Subject 3rd Person Singular নাম্বার হলে শুধুমাত্র Present Indefinite Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে Verb + s/es হয় (go + es = goes, read + s = reads)

Auxiliary Verb

Am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had, shall, should, will, would, can, could, may, might, must, dare, need, ought

বাক্যে কোনো Auxiliary verb না থাকলে Present Tense হলে (do/does) Past Tense হলে (did) বসাতে হবে।

am not = aren't

is not = isn't

are not = aren’t

was not = wasn't

were not = weren't

have not = haven’t

has not = hasn’t

had not = hadn’t

shall not = shan’t

should not = shouldn’t

will not = won’t

would not = wouldn’t

cannot = can’t

could not = couldn’t

Tag Question Rules:

  1. Tag Question করার জন্য (,) কমা চিহ্নের পর মাত্র দুটি শব্দ বসাতে হয়। ১ম শব্দটি হলো auxiliary verb এবং ২য় শব্দটি হলো pronoun শেষে ? চিহ্নটি দিতে হবে।
  2. Sentence যদি পজিটিভ থাকে তাহলে নেগেটিভ করতে হবে এবং নেগেটিভ থাকলে পজিটিভ করতে হবে।
  3. Let দিয়ে Sentence শুরু হলে বসাতে হবে , will you?
  4. Let's/Let us দিয়ে Sentence শুরু হলে বসাতে হবে , shall we?
  5. Imperative sentence (আদেশ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ বুঝালে) বসাতে হবে , will you?

(a) Let her solve the matter, will you?

(b) We ought to love our mother, oughtn't we?

(c) Look at this paper, will you?

(d) It is a beautiful afternoon, isn't it?

(e) Both are responsible, aren't they?
