Our National Flag
Each country has its own national flag. Bangladesh also has a national flag. A national flag is a symbol of a nation's independence. Bangladesh became independent on 16th December 1971 after a long and bloody war of 9 months. The national flag is hoisted at the premises of every government office, institute, and institution in Bangladesh. It is kept half on National Mourning Day. Our national flag is rectangular in shape with a ratio of 10: 6 or 5: 3. The flag background is green and has a red circle in the middle. The green colour represents the nation's eternal youth, strength, and freshness. It is also a symbol of the green of Bangladesh. The red colour represents the rising sun of freedom. It stands for the supreme sacrifice of our heroic sons who have sacrificed their lives for their homeland. Our national flag reminds us of the supreme sacrifice of our heroic son. We are proud of our national flag.
আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা
প্রতিটি দেশের নিজস্ব জাতীয় পতাকা রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশেরও একটি জাতীয় পতাকা রয়েছে। একটি জাতীয় পতাকা একটি জাতির স্বাধীনতার প্রতীক। দীর্ঘ ৯ মাস রক্তক্ষয়ী যুদ্ধের পর ১৯৭১ সালের ১৬ ডিসেম্বর বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন হয়। বাংলাদেশের প্রতিটি সরকারি অফিস, ইনস্টিটিউট ও প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রাঙ্গণে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। জাতীয় শোক দিবসে এটি অর্ধেক রাখা হয়। আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা 10: 6 বা 5: 3 অনুপাত সহ আয়তাকার। পতাকার পটভূমির সবুজ এবং মাঝখানে একটি লাল বৃত্ত রয়েছে। সবুজ রঙ দেশের শাশ্বত তারুণ্য, শক্তি এবং সতেজতার প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে। এটি বাংলাদেশের সবুজের প্রতীকও বটে। লাল রঙ স্বাধীনতার উদীয়মান সূর্যের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে। এটি আমাদের বীর সন্তানদের সর্বোচ্চ আত্মত্যাগের জন্য দাঁড়িয়েছে যারা তাদের স্বদেশের জন্য তাদের জীবন উৎসর্গ করেছে। আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা আমাদের বীর সন্তানের সর্বোচ্চ আত্মত্যাগের কথা স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়। আমরা আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা নিয়ে গর্বিত।
