Dowry System

Dowry refers to the property or money that a bride brings to her husband upon marriage. It is a shameful culture in our society. Usually in our society women are considered inferior to boys. They thought it was useless for their families. Part of being greedy requires a lot of wealth or money from the bride's parents. Poor and illiterate girls are often the victims of dowry. If the parents do not comply with the bridegroom's request, they abuse their wives and sometimes torture them. As a result, many have divorced or committed suicide, or been killed by their husbands. This system affects our entire society. At present, the father cannot think of the marriage of the daughter without the dowry of the groom. I have died from the evil system of this society. This evil system must be uprooted from society immediately. This social curse can be overcome by changing the attitude of people, especially men. Strict legal action should be taken against dowry recipients. Everyone should be made aware that "taking and giving dowry is an equal crime."

যৌতুক প্রথা

যৌতুক সেই সম্পত্তি বা অর্থকে বোঝায় যা একজন কনে তার স্বামীকে বিয়ের সময় নিয়ে আসে। এটা আমাদের সমাজে লজ্জাজনক সংস্কৃতি। সাধারণত আমাদের সমাজে মেয়েদের ছেলেদের থেকে নিকৃষ্ট মনে করা হয়। তারা ভেবেছিল এটা তাদের পরিবারের জন্য অকেজো। লোভী হওয়ার জন্য কনের পিতামাতার কাছ থেকে প্রচুর সম্পদ বা অর্থের প্রয়োজন। দরিদ্র ও অশিক্ষিত মেয়েরা প্রায়ই যৌতুকের শিকার হয়। অভিভাবকরা বরযাত্রীর অনুরোধ না মানলে তারা তাদের স্ত্রীদের গালিগালাজ করে এবং কখনও কখনও তাদের নির্যাতন করে। ফলস্বরূপ, অনেকে বিবাহবিচ্ছেদ করেছেন বা আত্মহত্যা করেছেন বা তাদের স্বামীর হাতে খুন হয়েছেন। এই ব্যবস্থা আমাদের সমগ্র সমাজকে প্রভাবিত করে। বর্তমানে বরের যৌতুক ছাড়া মেয়ের বিয়ের কথা ভাবতে পারেন না বাবা। এই সমাজের অপব্যবহারে আমি মরে গেছি। অবিলম্বে সমাজ থেকে এই অপপ্রথাকে উচ্ছেদ করতে হবে। মানুষের বিশেষ করে পুরুষদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি পরিবর্তন করে এই সামাজিক অভিশাপ দূর করা সম্ভব। যৌতুক গ্রহীতাদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে। সবাইকে সচেতন করতে হবে যে "যৌতুক নেওয়া এবং দেওয়া সমান অপরাধ।"
